Restylane® is designed to smooth wrinkles, sculpt lips and shape facial contours. It is a clear, synthetic gel made with hyaluronic acid, a natural substance that is found throughout your body. It carries little risk of allergic reaction. The most common areas for treatment are the glabellar lines (between the eyebrows) and the nasolabial folds (from the root of the nose to the angle of your mouth). With its unique ability to bind with water, Restylane remains in your skin for many months.
Perlane® is an injectable filler used to treat deep facial lines, augment the lips and contour the cheeks and chin. Made by the same company that produces Restylane®, Perlane contains purified hyaluronic acid, a sugar found naturally in the body that works with collagen to keep the skin smooth and supple. It is hypoallergenic and so does not require a pre-treatment skin test. With its unique ability to bind with water, Perlane continues to perform up to 60% longer than collagen.
Radiesse® is a synthetic injectable filler that reduces wrinkles, creases and scars by augmenting the body’s natural collagen supply. Composed of microspheres in a biocompatible gel, Radiesse® is made from the same minerals found in our bones, so it carries little risk of allergic reaction. Radiesse® can be used on many areas of the body, including the lips, nasolabial folds, peri-oral lines, depressed scars and oral commissures.
A dermal filler as unique as you are. Specially designed to integrate into your skin and mold to your facial contours. It softens lines and wrinkles around the nose and mouth for a smooth and natural result. Injection takes approximately 15 minutes and requires only topical anesthetic.
BOTOX® Cosmetic is commonly used to reduce or eliminate the appearance of facial wrinkles. It is injected into the muscles surrounding the eyes, forehead and mouth to smooth crow’s feet, frown and worry lines, and lines on the neck. Made from a purified protein, BOTOX® relaxes wrinkles and gives the face a rejuvenated look. BOTOX® may also be useful for migraine headaches, excessive sweating, and eye and neck muscle spasms.
Dysport® Cosmetic is the new alternative to BOTOX® Cosmetic. It smooths away lines and wrinkles on the face that occur from dynamic muscle contraction. Dysport™ relaxes the facial muscles that can cause wrinkles in the brow, forehead and around the eyes, making one look worried, appear angry, or tired. The result is a more relaxed, approachable appearance that allows you to be more confident and feel better about yourself.
Sculptra® Aesthetic is a new facial injectable treatment that gradually replaces lost collagen and provides structure that lets your new look emerge more discreetly. It is composed of poly-L-lactic acid, a synthetic material that does not harm the body and is biodegradable. The product helps to restore volume loss, and thickens the skin. It is a treatment utilized for the whole face to sculpt and give the best, most natural result possible.
This new injectable product includes 3-4 sessions scheduled 4-6 weeks apart and has results that last up to two years or longer. The end result is a noticeably refreshed, natural-looking appearance that emerges subtly over time. Downtime is minimal. One may have bruising and some mild swelling that resolves typically within 3-5 days.
Vbeam® Perfecta is a pulse dye laser that can rejuvenate the skin by reducing red and brown discoloration, remove facial and nasal veins, and minimize diffuse redness and rosacea. This can be done during a brief, in office procedure with minimal discomfort and minimal downtime. Patients can return to their daily activities after treatment, making it a very convenient laser procedure. Typically individuals will need anywhere from 2-5 laser treatments depending on the condition we are treating and the severity of the disease.
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) technology uses high-energy pulses of light to provide long-lasting results. IPL, collagen stimulation, vein therapy and photoepilation improve skin texture and appearance, and remove hair from any area of the body without damaging nearby tissue. Hair, veins or pigmented regions on the skin surface selectively absorb the pulses of light, shrinking or fading after treatment; collagen tightens, smoothing the skin. Patients can return to work and all regular activities immediately after the procedure.
Skin appearance should improve soon after treatment. Hair loss is immediate and long-lasting. Several treatments may be desired for optimal results.
Whether for hygienic or cosmetic reasons, women and men who are tired of temporary, often painful methods of removing unwanted hair on the face, back, legs or other body areas may welcome laser hair removal as an effective alternative.
Lasers produce highly focused, intense beams of light. Dark pigments in the hair follicles beneath the skin’s surface absorb this light and convert it to heat, destroying the follicles and preventing hair growth for up to two years.
Multiple treatments are required for complete hair removal. Treatments are needle-free and do not require anesthesia. Most patients feel nothing more than a slight sting like the snap of a rubber band.
It is possible that some hair will grow back, though it is usually finer and lighter than what was originally removed. There may also be some redness and swelling following the procedure.
Microdermabrasion improves mild to moderate sun damage, scarring, wrinkles and other superficial skin problems. A gentle stream of tiny particles exfoliates the outer layer of skin and provides a fresh, glowing, younger appearance. Only a small amount of skin is removed, so sensitive areas such as the face, chest, neck, arms and hands can be treated. Results are comparable to a light chemical peel and should be immediately visible. Microdermabrasion is often performed in conjunction with other skin renewal procedures, such as laser treatment and chemical peels. Multiple treatments are recommended for full effect.
